આજે ફરી અમેરિકા જાઉં છું.
પહેલા તો આ વીક-એન્ડમાં ન્યુ જર્સી એડિસન ખાતે ‘ચાલો ગુજરાત’નો ભવ્ય જલસો છે. જેમાં મારે લગભગ ચાર ઈવેન્ટ્સ છે. જેમની સાથે સ્ટેજ શેર કરવાની હંમેશાં મજા પડે એવા કાજલ ઓઝા વૈદ્ય સાથે સ્ત્રી : શોષક કે શોષિત વિષય પર અને ‘ચારણકન્યાથી સુનીતા વિલિયમ્સ’ પર વાટો /ડિબેટ કરવાની છે. પ્રિય અને પૂજ્ય મોરારીબાપુ સાથે ગુજરાતીઝમ પર વ્યાખ્યાન અને ગુજરાતી ફિલ્મો પર ડિબેટ છે.
પાછી તો રાબેતા મુજબ હું અલ્પેશ ભાલાળાની સહાયથી વેન્ગાબોન્ડની જેમ ચિક્કાર ફરવાનો છું ને ડેટ્રોઈટ તથા કેલિફોર્નીયામાં લેકચર્સ પણ છે, અને પપ્પાથી લાંબો સમય જુદા રહેવાનો વિષાદ પણ.
ઉતાવળ છે. વધુ ફુરસદે. દુઆ મેં યાદ રખના.

I attended the lecture and it was a wonderful experience to hear him in person.I also tagged along my wife for whom it was her first introduction and was a worthwhile trip for her as well.He has a very good command over the target audience and the audience was eating out of his hands -also the choice of the topic was something which was probably an audience favorite.If you get chance-you should definitely go to one of his lectures.I couldn’t stay for Q&A but here’s something that I wish he will try to cover in his future lectures.If somebody has the video of the Q&A-can it be posted somewhere please.
a)What changes-good and bad, he has seen in Indians living abroad over his multiple years of coming here.
PS:It was a good example of religious tolerance where a topic which involved little bit of ritual criticism was done right inside the temple ,occassionly with sounds of aarti :).Here’s hoping something like this we will soon see in a religious place in India.
